Is that Sir Robert Hart standing at the left? I would be grateful for your
comment.
* C. C. de Castro was the owner of a wonderful violin that attracted Sir Robert Hart's attention. De Castro, a musician, had won the violin in a wager with a ship's mate. Hart wrote "Inside it has an old label: Antonius Stradivarius Cremonens Faciebat anno 1709". Sir Robert acquired the "fiddle" giving de Castro his own violin and "some tens of dollars" for it. Hart wrote "I believe I have a real Stradivarius". (Hart's letter to James Duncan Campbell, 26 April 1873)
